Adan and Mateo's first day of school!

School is back in session. We had a great long summer but it was great to start school again. We had a good start to our morning and everyone was excited to go to school. Adan got to choose his own outfit (I am realizing that I am having to let go a little more and I am not quite ready for it. Adan chose his outfit, not one I would have selected, in fact I strongly tried to sway him from getting his camo pants. He calls them his G.I.Joe pants. Our neighbor has a large amount of them and so far they play with them everyday they play together. So Adan now wants to dress like them. They are U.S. army men according to Adan.) Anyways, I was shocked at the two different responses I got from Mateo and Adan. Mateo was excited, vibrant and just plain ready to go to preschool. Adan on the other hand has been saying he doesn't want to go to school, he'd rather have school at home, he doesn't want to go to school everyday, but when he is asked by other's he'll tell them he is only 4 and he is going to kindergarden. SO today when we got to the school and Adan was clinging on to me, not wanting me to go and he didn't want to stay and almost started crying. I was a little aurpriseed but a little prepared for this to happen(it put all my reservations about sending him to Kindergarden come back into play. i got a little anxious. Especially since Adan has been crying when we send him to Primary. He is my social boy who would rather be with his second family the Wallace's rather than us.) However, after seeing Mateo say bye before I even walked out the door and go off and play made me feel a little better and I knew they would see each other throughout the time they were there and everything would be all right. When I went to pick them up the teachers said of course that they did great and they said how sweet and good the boy's were. When I asked the boy's how their days went Adan said good but he forgot everything they did. He did mention that kids can eat lunch their and he'd like to bring his lunch sometime and eat. He'd especailly like Aaron to take him to school and he met a boy named Jackson, not Jackson, Mississippi just the short one Jackson. (It was really cute how he explained it to me.) Mateo said he had a great time. He didn't cry or get sad. He only went to the bathroom once. His teacher is great. He had a lot of fun and would like to eat lunch their sometime as well. He was also sad when he found out he won't be going to school until Thursday. Who would have known that Mateo would enjoy it so much since I have been having problems with leaving Mateo without him crying these past two months. Also I was told I was too early by Adan because I got there in the middle of the story. I should have arrived after the story. Funny since he was the one who didn't want to stay today. I am sure the rest of the weeke will be an adjustment I am just hoping Adan will make a friend.
Before I forget to mention. I loved school too! It was so quiet and Jacob and I have really never had time alone. He enjoyed it and napped really well. I got some things done and got to read uninterrupted. PLus when they boy;s got home they didn't fight and we never turned on the T.V.

Today was Olivia's first day of preschool. So, I was home with Owen. He doesn't nap in the morning, so he was my shadow. I played with him and didn't get anything done. And now I think about adding a baby to the mix. What am I getting into?
