Adan had Grandparents Day today. Since we have grandparents who live far away we did not have any grandparents able to attend. Adan was very devasted about this. I suggested several people could go and be a special visitor. Adan decided he did not want to go to school so we had worked it out for Aaron to go and be a helper and then take him home early. Then this morning Aaron told Adan he would not be able to go and help in his class until next week. Adan then mentioned that Aaron could go to Grandparents Day. Aaron agreeded that this worked better for his schedule. Aaron mentioned that he felt very out of place. As there were only a couple of kids in the whole school there without out grandparents. (Most people that we know here in the south have grandparents who live here and even take care of their grandchildren on a regular basis.)I am glad Aaron went it was very meaningful to Adan. We are going to send the things Adan prepared for his grandparents this coming week. I am also glad Aaron went to Adan's school as this was his first time being in his class. Aaron took pictures of Adan's art work and class for us all to enjoy.
